Can astonauts get lost in space?

It could happen, but no astronaut has been lost in space. Astronauts do all they can to stay safe. When they walk in space, ’nauts are attached to the ISS or space shuttle by a rope-like tether. If the tether breaks, each spacesuit has a jet-pack “life jacket” called a SAFER. The ’nauts can use the SAFER to fly back to safety.
