Have you ever had an “aha moment?” It’s a time when you discover something new or surprising. This book explores the “aha moments” of six scientists. Parrots that can count and communicate (and not just mimic) using speech, elephants that recognize their reflection, and cockroaches that learn best at night are some of the studies profiled. Fast Facts and Fun Facts give basic animal information and interesting bits of trivia.

I learned a lot from this book, like that gorillas use tools to help themselves and that two days after a python eats its heart grows by 40 percent. I had fun reading the book. The neat pictures made me want to read. My favorite picture was of the dolphins tail-walking. This book shows some really neat things that animals can do and that they are very smart! I would give it a 10 out of 10. It was cool!
